BILLING PRACTICES NOTIFICATION
Per Senate Bill 425, which took effect September 1, 2015, and House Bill 3276, which took effect September 1, 2017, and relates to health care information provided by, and notice of fees charged by Freestanding Emergency Medical Care facilities, we are required to post a sign stating:
This is a freestanding emergency medical care facility.
This facility charges rates comparable to a hospital emergency room and may charge a facility fee.
This facility is not a participating provider in any health benefit plan provider.
However, by state law your health insurance company is required to process your emergency medical care at in-network benefit levels.
The physician providing medical care at this facility may not be a participating provider in the patient’s health benefit plan provider network.
The physician providing medical care at this facility may bill separately from the facility for the medical care provided to a patient.
Explanation of Benefits (EOB)
If you receive an Explanation of Benefits (EOB) from your insurance, please note that IT IS NOT A BILL. If you have questions about how your claim was processed or a bill you receive, please contact the billing company listed above.
We at the ER On Soncy appreciate the trust you place in us for your emergent healthcare needs and are here for you if you need.
