How is a free-standing ER different than an urgent care?
Unlike urgent care centers, freestanding ERs (like the ER on Soncy) are open 24/7/365 and equipped and staffed to handle medical emergencies like a traditional ER. What if you are out of network with my insurance?
According to Texas and federal law, insurance carriers are required to pay in-network benefits for any member seeking emergency medical treatment. Whether the emergency room you choose is in-network or out of network for you, the law requires that your insurance carrier pay for your emergency care (US Dept. Health and Human Services) .
How much will it cost?
Your out-of-pocket expenses, such as deductible or co-pay for example, will depend on your insurance company and plan. We are able to work with you as well if you do not have insurance or prefer to pay cash.
