The RN’s have primary responsibility to provide direct patient care and to collaborate with other disciplines of the ER team to ensure the delivery of safe, timely and appropriate quality care through applying sound experience and knowledge base.
Emergency care experience includes knowledge and skills in assessing, analyzing, diagnosing, outcome identification and planning of patient needs. Team member approach and excellence in customer service required.
This position is part of a specialized team that is trained in the recognition and treatment of urgent to emergent patients, responding to patient’s needs, accurate completion of documentation, and maintaining a clean and safe environment. Due to the Emergency Room setting, the RN may be given additional responsibilities including rooming patients, assisting in other patient care as needed.
- Graduate of an accredited school/college of nursing; Certificates in Advanced Cardiovascular Life
- Support (ACLS) and Pediatric Cardiovascular Life Support (PALS) required
- Current registered nurse licensure in the State of Texas
- Minimum 1-year RN emergency room experience, necessary to meet established quality standards
- Knowledge of accepted infection control measures
- Experience in documenting patient findings in an electronic health record and assist in other ER duties as needed
- Verifiable current Healthcare Provider (BLS) or Professional Rescuer CPR certification
- Physical Requirements include bending, stooping, lifting, carrying, hearing/listening, manual dexterity, pushing/pulling, seeing, speaking
- Availability for varying shifts (ER is open 24/7, 7-days per week to include holidays)
